Description
Taking us through the beautiful village of Clogheen, before we enter the woods as we meander our way through forest paths laden with rhododendron plants in full bloom with the sounds of gushing mountain streams as the trail ascends up the valley to give stunning views across the entire Galty Vee Valley.
The route goes along a sandstone path with panoramic views of the full range of mountains on display, the Ballyhouras, Galtees, Devils Bit, Slievenamon, Comeraghs and Knockmealdowns.
The route then descends into the woods to witness another stunning bank of rhododendrons before picking up the Clogheen Loop walking trail and subsequently the Blackwater Way/East Munster Way back to Clogheen.
