Description

Join us for an adventure walk of a lifetime!!

Taking us through the beautiful village of Clogheen, passing the historic Shanrahan cemetery before we enter the woods as we meander our way through forest paths laden with evergreen rhododendron plants with the sounds of gushing mountain streams below as we ascend up the valley to give stunning views across the entire Galty Vee Valley.

The route goes along a sandstone path with panoramic views before descending to cross a glen.

From here the path starts to resemble something from the Amazon as the tall green ferns enclose the path on towards the next glen crossing via stepping stones across a stream.

With a large stone wall built from the famine times guiding us along to our next glen crossing before the views of the valley open up again.

We then turn for the infamous corrie lake of Petticoat Loose,  Bay Lough through tunnels of rhododendrons with the Sugarloaf peak looming large above.

Finally the descent of this wonderful trek back to Clogheen takes in sections of the 3 National Waymarked Trails in the area via the Tipperary Heritage Way, East Munster Way and Blackwater Way.
